Ashley is a first-year PhD student in the physical oceanography department at WHOI. She uses a combination of climate models and observations to study dissolved oxygen content in the ocean, and is currently focused on eastern boundary upwelling systems in the Pacific. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, playing board games and dungeons and dragons, and doing improv comedy.
